BERA, OAE & Newborn Hearing Screening in Vijayawada
Babies cannot raise a hand when they hear a beep — so we measure the hearing pathway directly. Electrophysiological testing records how the inner ear and hearing nerve respond to sound while your child sleeps naturally, with no injections and no discomfort.

Hearing loss identified before six months of age and treated early gives a child the best possible chance of normal speech and language. That is why every newborn, every NICU graduate and every child with delayed speech should be screened.
Who is this for?
- Newborns and infants — routine screening within the first month
- Babies who stayed in NICU, had jaundice or low birth weight
- Children aged 1–5 with delayed or unclear speech
- Adults who cannot cooperate for behavioural testing
- Patients needing objective proof of hearing loss for surgery or certification
What happens at your visit
- 1
OAE screening
A soft probe in the ear canal measures echoes produced by a healthy cochlea — takes only a few minutes.
- 2
BERA / ABR
Surface electrodes record brainstem responses to clicks, estimating hearing thresholds in a sleeping child.
- 3
ASSR guidance
Where frequency-specific thresholds are needed for hearing aid fitting, we arrange and interpret ASSR.
- 4
Report & referral
Results are explained to parents with a clear next step — repeat screening, hearing aids or ENT/implant referral.
